Happy weekend, all. As work is kicking up, I'm trying to reserve a little time on the weekends to fill you in on the week's events. This past Thursday was favorite day of the week because I had my PM Breakfast sponsored by UserVoice in the morning and then capped off the day with the LE TOTE + Bonobos Fit Happens Happy Hour.
I attended the PM Breakfasts in April when I working remotely in SF before moving. I was psyched to attend this one because I could proudly say that I found a great job. This breakfast's topic was "PM Vs. Sales Bro" which proved to be an amusing topic. Lots of great anecdotes and lessons learned (plus, great coffee and pastries). I love that UserVoice goes the extra distance by hosting these each month.
When I got back to the office, I had an email from one of the other attendees titled, "Yinzer at the PM Breakfast". Sure enough, he went to CMU for a couple of years so we are grabbing coffee next week to talk all things Pittsburgh. He is also the second person to recommend Giordano Brothers in the Mission. Primanti's but better. Challenge accepted.
As all of my SnapRetail friends can tell you, I love Le Tote. In case you don't know who they are, they are the Netflix of fashion. I was excited to see they were hosting a party a couple of blocks from work. I brought my friend, Tiffani, to see what they were all about. If I was a loyal Le Tote fan before, then I'm a super fan now. I met my actual stylist, saw the newest product release and previewed the new lines for Fall. Tiffani was so excited that she signed up right on the spot.
We also met a new startup called Bloom That, that delivers flowers via bike within 90 minutes in San Francisco. They gave us some beautiful samples (that earned me a couple cat calls on the subway). I was excited to hear that they are moving into the same co-working place that I work at. I just need them to start delivering in Burlingame...
A day like this would never have happened anywhere than San Francisco.
